Carr rules out bid to become PM

http://au.news.yahoo.com/latest/a/-/lat ... become-pm/

Foreign Minister Bob Carr has ruled out making a tilt for the prime ministership.

"I'm ruling it out, I don't have to give a reason," he told reporters on Friday outside his Maroubra home in Sydney's east.

"I'm ruling it out."

Senator Carr would have to move to the lower house in order to take the Labor leadership from Prime Minister Julia Gillard, who is struggling in the polls.

There has been speculation recently about the possible retirement of Schools Minister Peter Garrett, which would create a vacancy in his eastern Sydney seat of Kingsford-Smith.

However, Senator Carr, who spent a decade as NSW premier, says he is not considering that option.

Bob Carr the spin meister.

Is there a problem?

Divert attention by announcing some grand scheme or policy, keep doing it until the media idiots forget original scandal. Then carry on as usual, doing sweet F.A.

Poof! problem gone
