After the sudden death of John Carter, a former American Civil War Confederate Army captain, his nephew Edgar Rice Burroughs (whom Carter called "Ned") attends the funeral. As per Carter's instructions, the body is put in a tomb that can only be unlocked from the inside; his attorney hands over Carter's personal journal for Ned to read, in the hope of finding clues explaining Carter's reason of death.

A good movie! I could not bear t watch it at first because Edgar Rice Burroughs was a racial nationalist expected a PC makeover of his work. Well the film did not have a single black in sight. Must be the first film in twenty years that doesn't have other races airbrushed in to make the PC ers happy.

Although would guarantee any consecutive films will have that 'rectified'. I would say the mixed reception was due to the fact that there was no blacks or homosexual romances in sight. :dry_tb:

Not the sort of movies I usually watch but really enjoyed it. And it was ALL white cast! Other then that, I do not care who wrote the script, book or who the actors are. If one was to eliminate all the lefties, socialist, commies etc there would be very little to watch. Or listen to as far as music goes.

there is another one.

But it did have Arabs in it (painted as evil men).

Unless I am mistaken.

Lord of the rings :)

edit:
Sorry It has Muslims and Mohamad in it as well. Better known as Orcs and Sauron.

It was a good film, if you haven't read 'A princess of Mars', you can get it from here: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/62 in various formats, a good story worth a read.

Outlander [ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0462465/ ] is another one with a homogeneous cast, also a good film.
